The Founder of CVL (Centre for Values in Leadership) Prof Pat Utomi, Members of the CVL Board and Staff of CVL specially invite you to attend the 2013 Special Edition of CVL Annual Lecture Symposium on Wednesday, 6th February, 2013 at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), 13/15 Kofo Abayomi Street, Victoria Island, Lagos by 10am.
During the past decade, CVL (Centre for Values in Leadership) on an annual basis has assembled noted thought leaders and renowned experts from around the world to discuss topics relevant to our country’s economic and socio-political development. The CVL annual lecture which holds every 6th of February is one of the important programmes of CVL and a key instrument we have adopted to constructively contribute to nation building and national development. It attracts more than 600 high profile guests drawn from the public, corporate and business sectors in Nigeria.
The 1st CVL Annual Lecture took place on February 6, 2004 at NIIA Lagos.
In this special edition to commemorate the 10th in the annual lecture series we will be discussing: Leadership and Values: The Challenge for the Next Generation of Leaders.
The Speakers are:
- Prof Wole Soyinka – 1986 winner of Nobel Prize for Literature;
- Hon Jerry Weller – Seven term 14 years veteran Republican Congressman from Illinois now Managing Partner New World Group Public Affairs Plc.
- Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, –The Sultan of Sokoto;
- Rev Fr. George Ehusani, Former Secretary General of the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria and
- Mr. Tony Hoti – The President of Intercom Ventures, USA, who became the youngest Financial Advisor for AG Edwards in San Diego at the age of 20.
The event will be Chaired by Mr Felix Ohiwerei, former Chairman of Nigeria Breweries Plc. The event will also feature a special panel of five state governors led by Dr. Kayode Fayemi, Governor of Ekiti State and moderated by Mr. Donald Duke, Former Governor of Cross River State.
