An Invitation to Attend the Business Manager Planning Workshop- I

The Business Manager Planning Workshop Series by Domino Information Company Limited is now in its 4th year and this 2014 edition promises to be the most exciting and constructive experience so far. This year’s event is being put together in partnership with a number of credible and result-oriented organizations.  The team of speakers and facilitators is of exceptional quality and the fact that Nigeria as a nation is in top-gear preparations for general elections makes the theme very relevant.  The DICL team is convinced that SMEs owners and managers, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs can hardly find a better opportunity to plan their annual business activities outside this workshop arena.

As always we promise that every participant will leave the workshop with their own business plan, or the participation fees will be refunded.  However, the participants must work with us through these 2 intensive but exciting days.

INEC PLANS TO SPEND N93, 000, 000, 000 ON THE 2015 ELECTIONS?

This year 2014 is promising a bumper harvest of revenue and profit to SME’s in Nigeria that can provide specific products and services to INEC, political party organisations and other actors within the next 12 Months.  INEC alone has a staggering budget of over N90b that will be almost fully expended within the next 12months.  The top 2 political parties alone are likely to spend more than this sum, even though there are no published figures to back this up.

As the 2015 elections draws nearer (or closer), there will be quite a number of political rallies which eventually will depend solely on services provided by SME’s. It is expected that there will be increased demand for printing, food, hospitality, transportation, consultancy etc. therefore SME’s in Nigeria should be properly positioned to respond to and take advantage of the business opportunities that will come from these demands.

So it is fact that a lot of cash and wealth will be injected into the economy this year.  It is also fact that a good percentage (50% is a good estimate) of these expenditure will be done through SMEs.  The big question is therefore: which SME has planned and positioned to capture this peculiar opportunity that comes around once every 4 years?

This year’s workshop is designed to help Nigerian entrepreneurs create their plans in a most conducive and stimulating environment, working with peers. DICL and her partners provide the tools, expertise and guidance that are needed as effective planning keeps established companies on track and serves as a guide for companies that plan to reach important milestones within a given time frame.

An Invitation to Attend the Business Manager Planning Workshop

The success of a business depends largely on effective planning. Business planning is an on-going process for all businesses – or at least it should be. Effective planning keeps established companies on track and serves as a guide for companies that plan to reach important milestones within a given time frame.

OBJECTIVES & GOALS

“The coming elections in Feb. 2015 is a once-in-4year opportunity for SMEs.  Caterers, transporters, entertainers, event managers, these are only a few of the businesses that could harvest bumper revenues and profits in the year 2015. But, you must plan and position your business for this before the competition beats you to it.”

The objective of organizing such a workshop is to strengthen the management capacity of MSMEs operators and equip them with management system and tools they need to compete in today’s economy.
