I am indeed humbled that my life has been a blessing to thousands, if not millions. In the first half of 2014 alone, I must have stood in front of over 10,000 people at different podiums, events, programs, and workshops either discussing the Internet, digital media or discussing issues around business, entrepreneurship or personal development. This is not including my ICT Clinic Column in the Punch Newspaper or ICT Radio Show on Nigeria Info FM both of which would triple the number of people I reach out to in one way or the other.
So, why am I sharing this?
The primary reason is to encourage anyone out there aspiring to be public speaker not to give up easily but to keep working hard and improving because at some point back in the days I almost gave up, if I did all these may not have been possible today.
That said, the secondary reason is to assure anyone who decides to attend this month’s digital culture workshop after reading this, that it will be one of the best decisions they’ll be making this year because I am going put together all the useful experiences I have garnered over the years to facilitate the workshop.
4 Reasons to Keep a date with CFA’s Digital Culture Workshop
Below are some awesome reasons (amongst many others) why you should to do all within your power to attend this workshop
1. The need for a Digital Culture in your Organisation
As a sociologist, I understand the importance of culture which is simply defined as a way of life. So the question is what is the culture of your organisation? If I have the opportunity to visit your office today, I’d be able to quickly tell the sort of culture your organisation run. If you would like your business to stay relevant and properly positioned for the future, then you should do your best to instill a digital culture starting with this workshop.
2. Social Media Management
Now this is certainly a big issue that is easily becoming a nightmare – how do you manage with multiple social media accounts in the midst of all the clutter and confusion. This is one issue that I would certainly do my best to demystify based on my over 5 years of raw, online marketing experience.
3. There is more to Tweeting
I have observed that organisations have become extremely obsessed with Twitter and they tend to assume that once they have a Twitter account and can tweet, then all is well. Unfortunately, that is far from being correct – infact the best strategy is to even find out based on research what social networking platforms you should channel your most energy to.
4. Practical Sessions
It is going to be a highly practical session and participants will do what they have never done before, in terms of really diving deep into the world of social media and Internet generally on their very own with guidance from our team. Therefore, an Internet ready device is compulsory for the practical sessions.
