Attend My Best Digital Marketing Training for 2014

Just incase you have not heard, come December 6th, 2014, we’d be having our last edition of the CFA Digital Marketing Training for 2014.

This year has no doubt been a remarkable one of us and we grateful to the Almighty for the successes, failures and most importantly the lessons so far. Notwithstanding the fact that we have trained and coached thousands of people across various platforms, I still see my monthly training as another way to further impact my world and one key reason I believe this final session will be the best is because of Google’s Digital Business Management. For the next 3 days, I and a few other digitally minded fellas will be locked-in with some Googlers learning new digital skills – this is probably Google’s way of developing a new set of digital entrepreneurs that will be super skilled in using her tools.

google digital business program

Frankly speaking, I am not sure of what to expect because I might probably know more than the facilitator(s) of the program but as always I intend to attend with an open mind because that is just my tradition. There is always something new to learn.

Now, imagine the impact this program will make, first to my life and the lives of the people who’d be strategic (wise) enough to attend the December Edition of CFA’s Digital Marketing Culture Workshop, it is just a day between the last day of the Google DBM workshop and CFA’s digital media training – it promises to be super impactful!!!

One Day CSR Traning for Journalists in Nigeria

D-Day is Almost Here: a Free Course for Journalists in Nigeria by TM & CFA

Yes! D-day for the Personal Development & Technology Improvement!”™ (PDTI) training for journalists in Nigeria is almost here. To give this training the quality it deserves, I have decided to team up with a highly respected, international business and lifestyle coach to deliver the very best to a select group of journalists and media professionals who might be interested in taking advantage of this opportunity.

Many of us read newspapers, listen to radio or watch TV programmes not knowing the massive amount of work that goes into many all of these a reality. I started appreciating the selfless service of esteemed members of the press when I started the ICT Clinic in The Punch, the ICT Radio show on 99.3 Nigeria Info & also the soon to kick-off Tech Trends on Channels TV, these platforms gave me the opportunity to see first hand how extremely hard these guys work but unfortunately many of them are poorly paid. So, this is simply a way of giving back to this all important industry.

Tunde MakunTunde Makun

Tunde is a strong advocate in the power behind the Spiritual Law of Attraction and with the robust tools gathered from his robust multinational corporate career as well as his own successful International business experience and the exemplary lives of successful leaders of this methodology; he is determined to share his knowledge and his dream for human advancement through his organization: “Purpose Power & Lifestyle Design” (PPLD).

CFA 1Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr. “CFA”

CFA is an ICT expert, Business Coach, Author and Speaker with over 12 years hands-on experience. He writes for the Sunday Punch (ICT Clinic) & also doubles as the host of the ICT Radio Show on 99.3 Nigeria Info FM & Tech Trends on Channels TV. He blogs regularly on & – CFA is a JCI Nigeria TOYP 2014 Award Winner [Technology].

I strongly believe that those who attend and strive to carry out some of what they will learn would be mightily glad at the outcome because they will be taught proven strategies that work. The course will expose them to the power of the mind, skills improvement for high performance, identifying blockages to harnessing personal power, becoming more Internet savvy, setting the vision for the future as well as productivity computer applications for Journalists.

Why am I publishing this post?

The simple reason is that I want you to tell any journalist you know that this event is happening live on the 6th of November, 2014 at the PPLD Training Centre, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos. It is 100% free for them to attend, so they have nothing to lose.

Digital Media Culture Workshop by CFA & Co

4 Reasons to Attend CFA’s Digital Culture Workshop

I am indeed humbled that my life has been a blessing to thousands, if not millions. In the first half of 2014 alone, I must have stood in front of over 10,000 people at different podiums, events, programs, and workshops either discussing the Internet, digital media or discussing issues around business, entrepreneurship or personal development. This is not including my ICT Clinic Column in the Punch Newspaper or ICT Radio Show on Nigeria Info FM both of which would triple the number of people I reach out to in one way or the other.

So, why am I sharing this?

The primary reason is to encourage anyone out there aspiring to be public speaker not to give up easily but to keep working hard and improving because at some point back in the days I almost gave up, if I did all these may not have been possible today.

That said, the secondary reason is to assure anyone who decides to attend this month’s digital culture workshop after reading this, that it will be one of the best decisions they’ll be making this year because I am going put together all the useful experiences I have garnered over the years to facilitate the workshop.

Digital Media Culture Workshop by CFA4 Reasons to Keep a date with CFA’s Digital Culture Workshop

Below are some awesome reasons (amongst many others) why you should to do all within your power to attend this workshop

1. The need for a Digital Culture in your Organisation

As a sociologist, I understand the importance of culture which is simply defined as a way of life. So the question is what is the culture of your organisation? If I have the opportunity to visit your office today, I’d be able to quickly tell the sort of culture your organisation run. If you would like your business to stay relevant and properly positioned for the future, then you should do your best to instill a digital culture starting with this workshop.

2. Social Media Management

Now this is certainly a big issue that is easily becoming a nightmare – how do you manage with multiple social media accounts in the midst of all the clutter and confusion. This is one issue that I would certainly do my best to demystify based on my over 5 years of raw, online marketing experience.

3. There is more to Tweeting

I have observed that organisations have become extremely obsessed with Twitter and they tend to assume that once they have a Twitter account and can tweet, then all is well. Unfortunately, that is far from being correct – infact the best strategy is to even find out based on research what social networking platforms you should channel your most energy to.

4. Practical Sessions

It is going to be a highly practical session and participants will do what they have never done before, in terms of really diving deep into the world of social media and Internet generally on their very own with guidance from our team. Therefore, an Internet ready device is compulsory for the practical sessions.

Mobile West Africa 2014 kicks off next month

Mobile West Africa 2014 brings world’s most influential mobile expert to Nigeria next month

(Lagos, Nigeria) – 22 April, 2014:

Tomi Ahonen, the man measured by Forbes as the world’s most influential expert in mobile, will be taking to the stage and sharing his esteemed vision of the future of mobile at the Mobile West Africa 2014 conference, taking place in Lagos on 13-16 May at the Four Points by Sheraton on Victoria Island. Mr. Ahonen will also deliver a dedicated full-day workshop on Friday, 16 May titled “How to make money in mobile”.

MWA2014 600x400 banner

Additionally, Dr. Ernest Ndukwe, considered as the key figure in bringing about the mobile data revolution in Nigeria, will be presenting his perspective during the keynote session. Mr. Ahonen and Dr. Ndukwe will be joined by senior industry pundits including the CEO & MD of Airtel Nigeria, the Founder of SPARK and iROKO Partners, and representatives from Nokia, DSTV Digital Media, Nigerian Breweries, PZ Cussons and Praekelt.

Organisations such as Eskimi, VConnect, Co-Creation Hub, MTech, ConnectNigeria, SureGifts, and TomTom Africa have pledged their early commitment to the conference, which is regarded as the leading technology event in West Africa, and delegate tickets are selling quickly.

Event founder Matthew Dawes commented “When we first debuted Mobile West Africa way back in February 2011 it was a different era. West Africa’s smartphone penetration was low, Nigeria’s first incubation space (CcHUB) was yet to be launched, the eCommerce boom was still years away, and mobile money was far from reality. It has been a remarkable few years and I would hope that in some way the event has contributed to that growth.

I want MWA2014 to be a joyride – celebrating past successes, critically analysing the industry’s future direction and opportunities, and to again be the conference to come and do business at. Having the likes of Tomi Ahonen and Dr. Ndukwe confirmed signifies our intent to further cement the event’s position as the best in the region.”

annual business summit

Join CFA, Prof. Pat Utomi and 15 Others Speakers at the Annual Business Summit

The annual business summit of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (SW 4) Nigeria comes up on the 7th & 8th of June, 2013 at NANS Media Centre, National Arts Theatre Complex, Iganmu, Lagos by 9.00am daily.

I am extremely excited because I will be speaking in this year’s annual business summit alongside Prof’s Pat Utomi and a host of other experienced entrepreneurs (see full list below).

Before proceeding, let me return all glory to God Almighty who through his mercies has made me a growing voice in the ICT space and this is only just the beginning…..

If someone had told me 5 years ago that I’ll become a public speaker (a childhood dream) but more of an ICT speaker and not motivation (which I thought was the way for me), I would probably have said: ‘get thee behind me‘ 🙂 – but today I am most grateful because this has been a faster route for me. Now here is the most interesting part for me, although I teach or speak on ICT, Internet, Social media etc. I never fail to bring in a bit of motivation and personal effectiveness because they have truly helped me.

A little about the organisers of the Annual Business summit – Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International

fgbmfiIn 1952, a group of laymen led by late Demos Shakarian, working with a vision from the Holy Spirit, to gather businessmen who would ordinarily not attend a church service but will prefer to go to hotels, restaurants etc. to hang out with friends. The focus of the fellowship for the past 60 years remains to call such men (and women) back to God Almighty.

Well, I joined the FGBMFI Nigeria sometime in 2010 during a pretty bad phase of my life. Of course, the first point of attraction for me back then was the “business” added to the name of the fellowship, so I was not only curious to know and serve God more but also connect/network with people who can change my destiny for good.

3 years after, has this come to pass? I would say yes it is gradually coming to pass, although I largely consider myself as work in progress (WIP). I urge you to become a member of this great fellowship now present in 164 countries and counting.

That said, please accept this as a special invitation to attend the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (SW 4) 2013 Annual Business Seminar with the Theme Empowerment for Success.

Besides yours truly (CFA) who would be speaking on “Maximising the Internet for Business and Ministry success” other speakers include:

  8. Dr. Bunmi Oni

Global Entrepreneurship Week

Training Entrepreneurs in Abeokuta as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week

I love entrepreneurship and enterprise development with a passion, so you can gauge how excited I am about the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) – for a number of entrepreneurs out there, it is a time to celebrate this crazy way of life that gives us sleepless nights, yet we simply love it.

Entrepreneurship can indeed be challenging and that is why only the strong survives! I don’t mean strong in terms of physical strength alone but also mental toughness and ability/willingness to innovate.

My wish for all entrepreneurs out there is that this week marks the beginning of greater and better experiences in your life and business.

In my little way of giving back, I would be in Abeokuta, Ogun State to speak on the theme “Moving from Shoproom to Boardroom” at the Chronicles Entrepreneurs and Business Development Summit. I will be representing Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa OFR., one of Nigeria’s most respected entrepreneurs who is the lead speaker at the event.

So, if you are anywhere around the south west then you can catch me live at Spice Hall, GRA, Ibara, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Full details below;

Why We Inaugurated the Life Leadership Academy?

Leadership is both an interesting and important subject to me. This is one quality a lot of us lack, therefore, it gives me great joy to see organisations genuinely take the initiative towards being the solution.

Leadership is what makes all the difference is the life of every organisation, nation or family.

If you ask me, I’ll recommend that leadership studies should be introduced into our educational system at the very basic levels. The environment today is so polluted that we knowingly and unknowingly indoctrinate our younger ones into many negative activities.

How do we expect a child to grow up properly in the face of today’s corruption, the ‘sex like’ dance steps we see on TV and on the Internet aimed at making people slaves to their flesh, the do or die attitude towards power, or the shameless acts of stealing of our collective wealth by a few?

It takes the grace of God to raise godly children in this sort of environment, but it is does not just stop at the grace of God. The readiness and commitment of well-meaning men and women to be the change would also go a long way in creating a brighter future for these men and women.

To this end, I wish to commend the members and pastorate of New Life Baptist Church Port Harcourt, Rivers State for the giant strides taken towards the establishment and inauguration of Life Leadership Academy – designed to equip potential and real entrepreneurs with requisite knowledge to effectively take part in competitive market places.

Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr speaking
CFA speaking at the Life Leadership Academy event

I was indeed glad to be a part of the inauguration for a number of reasons;

  • I love speaking/talking. I am pretty passionate about it.
  • I cherish any opportunity to speak in the house of the Lord.
  • I seized the opportunity to have a feel of Port Harcourt since I have never been there.
  • I looked forward to making new friends.

If you ask me, how it went? I would say GREAT! I achieved all I set out to do and much more. I made new friends, from the pastors of the church, to the other facilitators as well as the other members of the church/community. It was a thrilling experience indeed!

Facilitators at the inauguration included;

  1. Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata Jnr. “CFA” (Digital Media Expert & SEO) – Internet/Social Media/SEO in Nigeria to identify and access new markets.
  2. Joel Osebor (SMEtoolkit trainer & business growth expert) – Leveraging business resource (The SMEToolkit)
  3. Belema Abibo (MD, Cosmopolitan Micro-Finance Bank) – Accessing and managing Start-up capital
  4. Victor T. Briggs – (Participating in the National business plan competition – Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Innovation (YOUWIN) Competition.

Why we Inaugurated the Life Leadership Academy?

  • To cultivate the spirit of enterprise in Newlife Baptist Church and its host community, through a system of hands-on business development and facilitation.
  • To leverage the provision of Business Development Services to actualize the mission, mandate of Newlife BC.

Target Audience

  • Aspiring and existing entrepreneurs with products and services that cut across various sectors of the economy i.e. ICT, Fashion, Agriculture, Manufacturing (consumer goods) and Consulting; On-going mapping reflect a mix of:
  • Aspiring Entrepreneurs
  • Existing Entrepreneurs with limited access to Business Development Services

Some Strategies that will keep Life Leadership Academy Alive

CFA of at the inauguration of Life Leadership Academy

1. The Establishment of Life Leadership Academy

This is a community focused business incubator focused on enhancing the sustainability & competitiveness of businesses from conception to maturity through the provision of critical business development services i.e. advisory, virtual offices, library etc.

  • Advisory services from business developers with verifiable track record.
  • Virtual offices comprising fully equipped work stations & meeting spaces.
  • Library of electronic & soft copies of mind building resource materials.

2. Seminar Series

A sequence of hands-on skill enhancement/capacity development workshop designed to enhance the skill & mind-set of entrepreneurs in Newlife BC & its host community.

This is to build on this inaugural workshop which is focused on equipping existing and potential entrepreneurs for effective participation in competitive market spaces.

3. Market Access Events

A sequence of market access events like fairs, garage sales, fashion shows and other electronic mediums to showcase and facilitate the exchange of value between entrepreneurs in Newlife BC, its host community & their potential market.

4. My New Life

An enterprise promotion scheme, where aspiring & existing entrepreneurs are given business development support & seed money from a revolving fund to develop a viable business idea of their choice.

Why I have taken the time to go into these details?

I want people to be able to make informed decisions and understand that Life Leadership Academy is not some money-spinning strategy hatched by the NewLife Baptist Church. No, far from it! I believe it is a well thought program designed with the good of all in mind. All I ask, is that you please remember the Life Leadership Academy in your daily prayers.

Thank God the event has come and gone but the memory lives on 🙂

  • I did not leave Port Harcourt empty-handed
  • I made new friends
  • I got a plaque of honour
  • I was blessed with various gifts.

To God be all the glory.

Finally, if you are in PH then I suggest you make the most of this opportunity, I am sure the guys a NewLife Baptist church would be more than glad to be of service.

CFA speaking at FATE Foundation

3 Reasons Why I should be a Speaker at your next Event

I am CFA – Conditioned for Accomplishments and this is simply the motivation behind what I do or say. I care less about being as wealthy as Bill gates or Aliko Dangote or as popular as Tu-face or Jay-z. What is most important to me is to I live a life that glorify’s God and benefits man.

I would like to say what Apostle Paul said towards the end of his life;

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. – 2 Timothy 4: 7-8

This is my prayer and confession to God Almighty on a daily basis.

Personally, I want to reign in eternity with Christ and I invite you to tag along – accept him as your Lord and personal saviour today! What would it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul?

Response to Speaker CFA's Style of Presentation at FATE Foundation
Sent by Ibrahim, an AEP Student of FATE Foundation who was blessed by my style of Presentation

The above is a Facebook message I received from one of the students that heard me teach and speak about Motivation, Business Experience, Internet, Social Media, and SEO services at a FATE Foundation‘s Aspiring Entrepreneurs Programme (AEP) Class.

I left my audience excited, motivated, inspired, enlightened and re-energized for the bumpy entrepreneurial road ahead. Guess what? I confidently told them at the start of my presentation, that this is the best class they would have and I did my very best to live up to that “public display of arrogance.”

I decided to become a FATE Foundation Volunteer and speaker because of my conviction that I have so much to offer in my niche and this conviction stems from the fact that;

  1. I walk in the way of the Lord.
  2. I have paid my dues on the Internet.
  3. I have tried and failed thus gathered experience.
  4. I have read and still read quality books.
  5. I consciously work hard to remain humble because pride goes before a fall.

If you know you have something to offer in a particular field, you may wish apply here. (Just say CFA referred you)

Let me say this with every sense of humility and responsibility, it is very unlikely that I will be a speaker at your event and not get your audience inspired, motivated, re-energized and renewed, this is because of my unique, down to earth style of presentation.

3 Reasons Why I should be a Speaker at your next event.

1. My Strengths as a Speaker

CFA speaking at FATE FoundationJust like every human, I have my areas of strength and weakness. I would not dare speak on a subject I know nothing about, when such offers come I simply decline because it will be a shame to stand in front of an audience and bore them.

I can authoritatively speak on Internet, Technology, Social Media, Sales, Marketing, Motivation and Entrepreneurship.

My style of presentation will wow your audience except if I wake up on the wrong side of my bed that day, which by the grace of God is most unlikely.

2. My Experience as a Speaker

I come from a modest background and therefore grateful to the Creator for giving me the grace to use this channel to share my experience and in turn make an impact.

Make no mistake about it, the fact that you don’t see many comments here does not mean that this blog has not been a blessing to thousands. I had to remove the header because I was becoming too popular for my liking/concentration, sometimes I would be in an event or walking somewhere and someone would ask; are you CFA? If I say yes, he or she goes thank you for being a blessing!

What is my point? I would not just show them my presentation slides but would share my experiences starting with how I got a job with Globacom using positive confession or how Natureline Nigeria came to be or how my entrepreneurial adventure has consumed millions or how I have come to realize man is nothing with God. Each time I share my story with an audience, they are always blessed.

3. My Fees as a Speaker

I am not money motivated although I admit that money is important for us to maximize life to the fullest. What thrills me most is the opportunity to stand before an audience and impart some ideas and knowledge in their sub conscious.

I don’t ask for a dime to speak to youth organizations, churches, fellowships (FGBMFI) etc. And as for organizations, I don’t have fixed rates, so it is open for negotiation.

By the grace of God, I have the capacity and ability to deliver the same value, if not more, than some of the “big names” in the motivational speaking circuit.

Remember, when all is said and down it is not the amount of money you made or how popular you are that matters, but the number of people that can truly say; that your life is/was a blessing.

The greatest value in life is not your Bank account(s) but the legacy you leave behind – Jim Rohn

Coach Lanre Olusola

A Success Training with Coach Lanre Olusola, Nigeria’s Top Coach

So, how did you end the month of April?

Crying? Whining? Hating? Cursing? Loving? Sharing? Happy? Sad? Lukewarm?

For me, I ended the month of April with a 3 hours success training session with Coach Lanre Olusola organized by FATE Foundation as a way of adding value to the lives of their volunteers (I teach young entrepreneurs how to leverage the Internet).

Coach Lanre Olusola

I must confess FATE has added value to my life for bringing in Coach Lanre Olusola to anchor this event. Although, the theme of the training was “becoming an innovative facilitator,” he spent a lot of time coaching us on various life skills. This is one major reason I admire the coaching profession, as a coach you will always look out for the best in others whether you are in full time or part time practice.

I registered a Coaching site – close to 4 years now and have not really considered making it active. Although, I get mails from a lot of young Nigerians looking to start a career in Coaching, I still have not tapped into that opportunity for a number of reasons but not anymore – Coach Lanre Olusola did pour fuel into the fire already burning in me and only time can tell.

My intention today is to share some of the life changing tips I learnt from him, it’s not like I don’t already know a bit but you see like most humans, I have a challenge implementing the little I already know, (which is the action part) and this is exactly what makes all the difference – not the acquisition of knowledge.

Ok! So, here we go…..

Coach Lanre Olusola reminded us that the greatest skill you must acquire in life, if you hope to become a great facilitator or excellent communicator is “listening skills” I bet like me you have heard this for the umpteenth time but the question is how much of this have you put into practice?

Participants at the FATE Foundation train the trainer event 2012You see, we all love to talk, we all love to be heard and that is where the issue is, who then will listen? So, you see why he stressed the need to sharpen your listening skills.

Consider these…..

Why would God ask us to pray when he already knows all our needs? I bet God Almighty is the greatest listener who loves to listen to us.

Also, the Bible gives so many examples to prove that our Lord Jesus Christ and Apostle Paul were great listeners also – such that each time they spoke or responded, it was very impactful.

During the process of listening you focus would naturally be on the speaker and this will help you in your delivery or response. As a facilitator, when you focus on your students or trainees then you have a greater chance of teaching them more of what they need to learn and not what you want them to learn. Because in the final analysis is not about you but about them!

Next….. Humility to learn

The most flexible in thinking and behavior is the most powerful innovator. You don’t know it all so remind yourself always that you are ignoramus. Make it a duty to learn from someone, some people etc. The day you stop learning, you die……

Humility is critical if you must be an innovative trainer.

Coach Lanre admonished us to learn from our trainees and students. We should not come to class (or in life generally) believing that we know it all. Make it a duty to learn something new from everyone you meet because they might have some information that can make your life better.

The day you stop learning is the day you die

Knowing the difference between truth and true?

Truth is universal but what is true is subjective to perception. If you’re anywhere like me, then you may have to drastically change your mindset and set aside certain personal beliefs, you think are unversal truths that everyone else has to accept.

In other to get where you want to, you ought to discover those beliefs that will take you there and then those that can possibly stop you.

Perception is stronger than reality.

Coach Lanre defined Perception as your internal interpretation and representation of facts. People’s interpretation of existing facts varies. Your perception colours your experience.

Questions to help you gauge your perception

  1. What is my angle?
  2. Why do I see things from this perceptive?
  3. How does it limit your facilitation?
  4. What perspectives do you need for balance?

His parting words…..

Did you know the average human processes close to 70,000 thoughts per day? Now can you believe that about 70% of these thoughts are completely negative and dis-empowering questions. Fight those negative thoughts!

Hope this helps? I would love to hear your thoughts and comments.
