Chapter 1 of Creating a Brighter Future is titled the The Power of Dreams

Below is a brief excerpt of the 1st story you will read when you buy a copy of this book;

The most important man in the city where I grew up was called the Oba (the King). Everything revolved around the Oba’s palace. On the few times I went there, I remember that it was the only place in Benin City that had a fence. The traditional architecture used the most available materials, the abode made from the native soil. Everything was part of that community. All the kids in our neighbourhood would gather together. We might sleep over at whatever home we played at. You went home to do your chores; not because your parents were afraid for you.

Although the main road was paved; the side roads were dirt.

Despite the dust, one man’s car stood out for me. He had a compound, not as large as the Oba’s, but significant in its own rights. Parked in his compound was a Jaguar. Although he had at least 20 kids in his compound, I would ask him every day to wash his car. At 9 years old in Benin City , I was fascinated by big stuff. My friends would say sarcastically, ‘He’s always thinking about big stuff but he’s barefooted walking to school. They used to laugh at me. Still I approached the guy, who was a surveyor; and asked permission to wash his car. He would not let me wash the car; because he was afraid I would scratch it.

Finally, after asking every day for two months; he let me wash the tires. I spent at least an hour on each one. He saw that the tires were outshining the rest of the car. I was excited for the opportunity to be close to the car; He realized I was so much in love with the car that I wouldn’t scratch the car. I spent the whole day with the car. My friends laughed at me again. ‘You’re working; you’re not getting paid; why are you so excited?” I replied, “You don’t understand; one day I will be riding in this car.” The surveyor told me to go ahead and wash the entire car.

“Now that you’ve washed the car, go home, take a bath and come back.” I scurried home, and told my mother what had happened…….. Order your copy of Creating a Brighter Future to read the complete story.

What I want to point out is simply this; Edwin has created a brighter future for himself and he wants to help you do the same thing. For instance, before the age of 30, Edwin paid cash for his own Jaguar. He calls this principle Visualizing End Results. Edwin explains how this principle works in Page 20 of Creating a Brighter Future.

As a Christian, I believe it is the same principle God applied when he said

Let there be light. Gen 1:3

I believe that God saw the earth and entire mankind before he created us.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

Can you see the power of visualization in this admonition?
