Entrepreneurship is far from wishful thinking, it takes commitment and dedication to kick-start an idea and pull it through. As a small business owner you must make it a duty to attend training and self-development courses and seminars as often as you can.
For 3 years running now, I have not missed the Domino Information Company Limited Business planning workshop series – a business seminar I recommend for every entrepreneur or world be entrepreneur out there.
Introduction/Background
The Business Manager Planning Workshop Series are designed to help Nigerian entrepreneurs create their plans in a most conducive and stimulating environment, working with peers. DICL and her partners provide the tools, expertise and guidance that are needed.
The success of business depends partly on effective planning. Business planning is an ongoing process for all businesses – or at least it should be. Effective planning keeps established companies on track and serves as a guide for companies that plan to reach important milestones within a given time frame.
History of the BM Workshops
This is the third in the series being organized by Domino Information Company Limited in collaboration with several partners with theme ‘Leave Nothing to Chance’. The workshop series debuted in 2011 with about 25 participants in attendance. In 2012, DICL partnered with MoneyCom, a microfinance bank and BusinessDay to organize the workshop which was themed ‘Success in 2012’. The workshop which was held at the Peninsula Hotel, Lekki was well attended by over 40 participants and had Mr Uzo Nduka, CEO, Domino Information Company Limited and Sola Olubode, MD, Moneycom Microfinance Bank speaking at the event which lasted 2-days.
Objectives & Goals
The Business Manager Planning Workshop Series seeks to create an environment, as well as provide expertise and tools, for the entrepreneurs to produce their own business plans for the year – 2013. The workshop also provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to network and share ideas on common business challenges. Every participant should leave with a full knowledge, strategy and action plan for their business including a clear financial picture of where the business stands as at the end of 2012 and where they expect it to be over the New Year-2013.
