In the past Network Marketing made many people wealthy just by using their social networks like their family, acquaintances, friends and the associates of their friends to market their products or services without going through the normal practice of doing business.

Even today, this kind of marketing strategy is continually making money, for a small percentage of individuals who are mostly at the top. Usually, distributors or downline are having a hard time trying to keep up or emulate those at the top of the Network.

Nevertheless, network marketing is still a good business opportunity especially for those people who are doing businesses in their home or those who have regular jobs, and are just looking for something that will give them additional income.

Network Marketing as a concept is focused more on the daily basic needs of people, this is to ensure a loyalty and continuous patronage of products or services and to make it easier for any person to become successful in this line of business.

Network marketing by nature is more than just having a good product or service for you or any person to succeed. What you need in order to become highly successful is to first understand how network marketing really works. With today’s technological advancement especially the internet, Network Marketing has been more popular and it is much easier now to get people to join your business, since it is now much more easier to promote products and services both locally and internationally.

The only negative aspect of Network Marketing is the perception and the expectation of most people who joined the business in the past and failed. Failure in this regards may be as a result of;

1. Over expectation
2. Untruthfulness by upline as to what it takes to make it in Network Marketing
3. Uncompetitive Products
4. Good compananies with terrible management
5. Pyramid companies with the intention to defraud.

One or all of these reasons may have caused a certain kind of stigma to the name Network marketing but this doesn’t make it entirely bad. There is nothing wrong with Network Marketing except the people it attracts, some are just thinking of this as a way to make quick money, while others are not capable or unfocused and unprepared for this line of work.

So if you think that those at the top of your company have lied to you, then you may be mistaken, because sometimes your expectation is the problem, if you have unrealistic goal then chances are, you will just be disappointed sooner or later.

Set a goal that you think you can surpass, so you will feel fulfilled and excited in reaching your new goal. Goal is important because it pushes us to take action and control our expectation.
